RFC Oisterwjk Oysters versterkt technische staf met Marshall Milroy en benoemt Daniel Geurs tot Club Coach

RFC The Oisterwijk Oysters zet een belangrijke volgende stap in de verdere ontwikkeling van de club. Met trots maken wij bekend dat wij een overeenkomst zijn aangegaan met Marshall Milroy als nieuwe hoofdcoach van het eerste team voor de periode 2026–2028, met opties tot verlenging.

Marshall brengt een brede internationale ervaring met zich mee als speler en coach, met een achtergrond in zowel Australië als Nieuw-Zeeland en eerdere rollen binnen de Nederlandse Ereklasse. Binnen de Oysters zal hij niet alleen verantwoordelijk zijn voor het eerste team, maar ook een centrale rol vervullen in de clubbrede ontwikkeling van ons spel. Als verantwoordelijke voor attack en backs zal hij zijn visie en expertise doorvertalen naar alle leeftijdscategorieën – van U12 tot en met senioren.
Tegelijkertijd maakt de club een belangrijke organisatorische stap met de benoeming van Daniel Geurs tot Club Coach. In deze nieuwe rol is Daniel verantwoordelijk voor de algehele rugbytechnische koers van de vereniging. Hij zal toezien op de samenhang en kwaliteit binnen alle teams en coaches, en bewaakt de doorlopende ontwikkellijn van jeugd naar senioren.
Met deze structuur investeert RFC The Oisterwijk Oysters nadrukkelijk in een toekomstbestendige aanpak waarin zowel spelers als coaches zich optimaal kunnen ontwikkelen. De club bouwt hiermee verder aan een duidelijke speelidentiteit en een sterke interne opleidingsstructuur, met als doel duurzame prestaties op Ereklasse-niveau en een structurele bijdrage aan de ontwikkeling van rugbytalent in Nederland.
De Oysters kijken ernaar uit om in de komende periode verdere versterkingen en aanvullingen op de technische staf bekend te maken.

RFC The Oisterwijk Oysters are proud to announce an important step in the continued development of the club. We have entered into an agreement with Marshall Milroy as Head Coach of the first team for the 2026–2028 period, with options to extend.
Marshall brings extensive international experience as both a player and coach, with a background in Australia and New Zealand, as well as previous roles within the Dutch Ereklasse. At the Oysters, he will not only lead the first team but will also play a key role in the club-wide development of our playing style. As the lead for attack and backs, he will implement his vision across all age groups – from U12 through to senior level.
At the same time, the club is taking an important organisational step with the appointment of Daniel Geurs as Club Coach. In this new role, Daniel will be responsible for the overall rugby direction of the club, ensuring alignment, consistency, and quality across all teams and coaches, while safeguarding the development pathway from youth to senior rugby.
With this structure, RFC The Oisterwijk Oysters are investing in a sustainable and future-proof model, focused on both player and coach development. The club continues to build a clear playing identity and a strong internal pathway, with the ambition of consistent performance at Ereklasse level and contributing to the development of rugby talent in the Netherlands.
